Taking a screenshot with your computer or mobile device is a useful way to quickly capture what’s on your screen in GoContractor and save it to the device so you can bring it up anytime, anywhere. This is particularly useful for QR codes and qualification cards that you may need to present to access your worksite.

How to Take a Screenshot on an Android Device
Taking a screenshot on an Android device is usually a fairly straightforward process, however, there are some exceptions depending on the specific device you are using.
Most Android devices allow you to take a screenshot by simultaneously holding down the power and volume buttons for one to two seconds.
Some phone models will allow you to take a screenshot by holding down the power and home buttons at the same time. Other phones will have a screenshot button in the pulldown quick settings menu.
If your phone has Google Assistant or Bixby (Samsung), you can use a voice command to take a screenshot. Simply activate your voice assistant and say “take a screenshot.”
How to Take a Screenshot on an iPhone or iPad
There are two ways you can take a screenshot on an iPhone or iPad. Which method you use depends on the age of the device you are using.
For all iPhones up to the iPhone 8, and all iPads excluding the iPad Pro, you can take a screenshot by holding down the sleep/wake button and pressing the Home button. When you do, you should hear a sound like your camera is taking a picture (if your sound is on) and the screen should show a “flash” animation. Once the shot is taken, you will be able to find your screenshot in your Camera Roll in All Photos.
For iPhone X forward, and iPad Pros, there is no longer a home button so the screenshot procedure is a bit different. To take a screenshot you will need to hold down the Side Button to the right of the screen and then tap the Volume Up button simultaneously. Similar to older iPhone and iPad models, you will be able to find the screenshot in your Camera Roll in All Photos.
How to Take a Screenshot in Windows 10
Windows 10 makes it very easy to take a screenshot in Windows. All you need to do is use the Print Screen button which is located in the upper-right side of most keyboards. When you click the button once, it will seem like nothing happened but Windows will have copied an image of the entire screen to the clipboard. Once copied, simply press Ctrl-V to paste the screenshot into any program you would like such as a Word document.
An alternative to the Print Screen button for Windows computers that have been updated since May 2019 is the Snip & Sketch tool. This tool can be accessed by pressing Shift+Windows Key+S and will add a small toolbar to the top of your screen which will allow you to decide what specifically you’d like to capture on your screen.
How to Take a Screenshot on a Mac
On a Mac, if you would like to capture your entire screen, press Command+Shift+3 and a PNG formatted image of the screen will be sent to your desktop.
If you only want to capture a specific part of the screen, press Command+Shift+4 and your cursor will change into crosshairs. Select the section of your screen you would like to capture by holding down your mouse/track pad button and dragging the crosshairs across the section of your screen that you would like to capture. Once you release the mouse/track pad button, the screenshot will appear on your desktop.
If you would like to capture a specific window on your screen, you will need to click Command+Shift+4+Space Bar and the cursor will turn into a camera. Simply hover the camera over the window you would like to capture and then click your mouse/track pad button. Once again, the screenshot will appear on your desktop.
